The adoption of four children, dealing with a cancer diagnosis, a son dealing with a fatal disease (muscular dystrophy), and how I''ve grown to embrace the unscripted. "One thing I''ve discovered in the year since ESPN ran a 25-minute profile of our family is that the people who have reached out to me were drawn to the story for a multitude of reasons. There were cancer patients who related to my battle, sports fans familiar with my TV work, moms and dads who have been thinking about adopting, sons who had lost the connection with their dads. That''s the thing about the Unscripted story-it''s impossible to tell it without striking a chord on at least some level with so many people with diverse backgrounds."]]>
