Brenda Spaan was first diagnosed with cancer at the age of 35. She passed away peacefully on 16 September 2023. It was Brenda's greatest dream to share her journey with as many as possible... her searches for treatment, her adventures during remission and most of all the realisation that cancer wasn't her enemy but instead her best friend. This change in mindset is what carried her through the best and the worst of times. 'The Wilderness Within' is a poignant, moving tale of a woman holding onto the beauty of life and grasping every opportunity which came her way. Her advice to those who face the same challenges is to "Embrace every moment!"
