The people of a small village live very happy lives, being awoken every day by their village rooster so as to greet the new day early, and get ahead with their daily chores. Until, one day, when they are worse for wear, they wish that their rooster hadn't woken them, and they are fairly abusive in their reactions! Feeling very hurt by their reactions, the rooster goes into sulk mode, and this results in absolute chaos for the village. This results in a very good lesson being learned. This book is helpful in teaching children the importance of being considerate of others' feelings, and to think before they act! Essentially, the act of kindness.
