It contains 10% glycolic acid (with Time-Release Glyco-Comfort System), a skin-penetrating alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) scientifically proven to stimulate exfoliation and promote the renewal of skin cells. By increasing cell turnover, it allows healthier cells to rise to the surface of the skin more quickly, giving the skin a healthier, younger-looking appearance. Its moisturizing ingredients and emollients— vitamin E, panthenol (provitamin B5) and glycerin—increase the skin’s moisture level and help prevent dryness. 1. Formulated with glycolic acid, the finest alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), at the greatest concentration permitted in a dermocosmetic product, the Reversa skin smoothing body lotion is the answer to treating keratosis pilaris. Keratosis Pilaris Commonly known as “chicken skin”, keratosis pilaris presents itself as rough bumps most frequently scattered on the upper arms, thighs and sometimes buttocks. KP is hereditary and affects between 50 to 80 % of teenagers and 4 out of 10 adults, involving more women than men. The bumpy skin is due to an abnormal keratinization of the upper portion of the hair follicles and consists of trapped, dead skin cells. The tiny bumps are visible on the skin’s surface as red or white pimples, hence the nickname chicken skin.
- Apply twice daily to hands and body. It is recommended to use a SPF 15 or higher during the day while using this product.
