The Holidays have always been a special time in my family. A time to gather with family and friends, a time to trim the tree but most of all a time to reflect on all the gifts God has bestowed on us. When I was a little girl, my family started a tradition that I still do today. Every Christmas Eve, my grandmother would gather us around a small birthday cake at the stroke of midnight. We would sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. It is a tradition that has come to mean a lot to me over the years because my grandparents and dad are now with the Lord. But Every Christmas Eve, my husband, my mom and I still gather around that small birthday cake. After all isn't that what the holidays are about?
