I would like to thank the reader for sharing these verses with me. Words are an amazing treasure and it is imperative that they be used to portray one's true heart and mind's reflection. I am a slave to my soul and therefore must somehow respond to that duty, regardless of how weary I feel. Poetry, I believe, is not yet dead in this world. The artfulness of the human tongue to utter true sentiment is a precious gift that we should not squander. I seek to convey my own troubled spirit by publishing these lines. Perhaps, words may make a difference in the world, if only for artistic integrity. I write in order to find a semblance of peace from my own thoughts and from the emotional distress that ensues without such expression.
