ASA is reported to be linked to Reye's Syndrome, a rare but serious illness. Do not use if you are allergic to: salicylates, acetylsalicylic acid (ASA). If you have: an ulcer, a bleeding problem, bloody or black stool. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have: fever, mucus in the stool, diabetes, gout, arthritis, take: blood thinner, other salicylates such as ASA, are pregnant or breastfeeding. When using this product: the stools and/or tongue may turn darker - this is temporary, and harmless, do not take within 2 hours of tetracycline antibiotics as their effectiveness may be reduced. Stop use and ask a doctor if you have: symptoms of upset stomach that worsen, come back or last for more than two weeks such as: heartburn, indigestion, nausea, any hearing loss, ringing or buzzing in the ears, diarrhea that persists for more than 2 days, worsens or that is accompanied by a fever.
