He Sent Forth His Word offers a series of Biblical reflections, which focus on the liturgical readings for the Sundays of years A, B and C. This book is intended for all Christians, Catholics and non-Catholics alike; it is meant to lift our souls. Fr. Okami called these series the "fruit of withdrawal" and I dare to add 'with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.' This book is good for the personal spiritual growth of all the participants at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, because it is not a commentary but a "conversation starter" that facilitates a personal encounter with the Word of God, incarnate in the sacred text. Kudos to Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Okami for this long overdue and expected "gift" to the community and may the grace of God continue to assist him.
