Published in 1921 by Buford J. Johnson, the Experimental Study of Motor Abilities of Children in the Primary Grades presents a study of the motor abilities of elementary school students. The research was conducted using simple exercises, which allowed Johnson to measure the students' abilities to balance, jump, and coordinate their movements. The findings of this study provided valuable insight into the growth and development of children's motor abilities and have influenced how we understand and support the physical well-being of children.
