- How to apply Effaclar Gel for acne-prone and oily skin: STEP 1: Wet the area of concern with lukewarm water to help unclog pores. STEP 2: Apply a small amount of Effaclar Gel Cleanser to the skin. It can be used on the face, body, chest, back, and scalp. STEP 3: Gently massage the skin to form a rich lather. Work in circular strokes. STEP 4: Rinse off with cool water to help tighten pores. Gently pat dry. Can be used in the morning and/or evening. To complete your anti-acne skincare routine, follow cleansing with Effaclar Astrigent Lotion to tighten pores and prevent blackheads and finish with Effaclar Duo(+) Anti-Acne Moisturizer to fight pimples and shine, while providing 24-hour hydration.
