This beautifully illustrated children's book for ages three to seven is the true story of a little girl, Jade, who wants to take her beloved stuffed tiger, Raja to school. Everyone tells her not to but she nags until her mother relents. Jade's family has been through many changes including moving to Canada and her parents divorcing. She wants Raja to go everywhere with her even though everyone tells her Raja should stay at home where he will be safe. After all, Raja is her best friend. He comes alive at night and chases monsters away. When Jade forgets Raja at school and the following day he's not there, she's has no-one to blame but herself. This heartwarming tale sees Jade right through elementary school searching for Raja year after year, until one day, right before she graduates, she finds him again. size 8" by 8". Great colour illustrations. Read aloud story. Themes are change, family, loss, hope, perseverance and love. Author Peta-Gaye Nash based this story on her second daughter, Jade who lost her stuffed animal Raja when she was in kindergarten and searched for him every year in the stuffed animal room at Carnaval time. Just as Jade was about to give up, she found Raja again.
