COMIC BOOK SINNER
Children book: 7 (Decision Series)
NOTE: THIS PARTICULAR STORY CONTAINS THE DESCRIPTION OF TEACHER PUNISHING/BEATING A SCHOOL KID. SUCH THING WAS A COMMON OCCURRENCE IN INDIAN SCHOOLS IN THE PAST AS A WAY TO DISCIPLINE THE STUDENTS. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT OR DON'T APPROVE OF IT, PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS BOOK.
Summary
Bannu wasted his precious time in the boarding school on playing, reading comics and making mischiefs. His uninterested teachers made matters worse. He was forced to study when he didn't feel like doing so. One day, a teacher caught him writing thoughts of his troubled mind in his rough notebook. He handed over the notebook to Mr. Deendayal, the history teacher and vice-principal of the school, who had earlier caught Bannu with a stack of comic books. Mr. Deendayal thought reading comic books was a sin. He humiliated and beat Bannu in front of the entire school and dropped him on the stage. In this process, Bannu chipped his front teeth. Bannu's mother Lata came to know about this when she visited her son. How would furious Lata vent out her anger? Would her prophecy improve Bannu's life at the school?
