As a physician, Issac Abt sought to publish in a convienient form the instructions he had been giving mothers and other caregavers on the preparation of food for infants and young children. His 1917 "The Baby's Food" is his collection of recipes of "commonly employed foods" which he deemed to be beneficial to children.
