This is the second book in the Angela Morris, Private Investigator series, which is set in the early 1950s, Angela Morris, PI - Family Values which consists of two stories. In the first, Family Intrigue, introduces Mrs. Bacchus and her assistant Patricia. Mrs. Bacchus has been robbed of valuable documents and is being blackmailed. She hires Angela and Wendy Larson to recover the stolen documents. Everything goes terribly wrong, and the two PIs end up arrested for murder by a corrupt sheriff. Will they survive their stay in jail, or will they disappear like previous women inmates? And if Angela and Wendy escape that death trap, can they solve the murder and recover the stolen documents? In the second story, Family Loyalty, the PIs take what they think is a simple marital case. Unknown to Angela and Wendy the assignment is related to the notorious Noontime Terror, a man who robs women in their homes. Angela and Wendy find their lives in danger once again. The cover photographs (also in the stories) are paying homage, in part, to the forgotten ladies' fashion accessory, popular in the 1950s and 60s--the fashion headscarf. The photographs do represent characters in the stories. The cover models photographed by the author include (left to right, top to bottom) Autumn Woods, Divinora Darling, Lena Ramon, Mary Jane, Brandy Lane, and Sirena Scott.
