Most Students’ initial reaction to 1st semester Anatomy & Physiology (A&P) is an overwhelming “shock and awe”. Except for an introductory A&P in select high schools (U.S.A.) there is no subject, nor pre-requisite college course that prepares Health Science majors for the large volume and unique challenges of A&P nomenclature. Health Science majors who have yet to take the course will be prepped and forearmed by DECODED!. Anatomy and Physiology Terms DECODED! provides a primer on the course’s challenging terms from the ordinary to the unusual. The purpose is not the full understanding of the terms, but insights into their morphology from one or more Greek & Latin root(s), prefixes and suffixes. Investing on a small effort to discover the morphology of terms minimizes exhausting repetitive drills or memorization.
