" Abid Ali Khan " is a biography of a renown journalist and laureate of Urdu, written by Mohammad Munawar Ali specially for young adults. Following the annexation of Hyderabad by the Republic of India, The Siasat Daily was founded as an Urdu language newspaper by Abid Ali Khan on 15 August 1949. Abid Ali Khan, was a former member of the Progressive Writers' Association and remained as the editor of the newspaper. He was reportedly associated with leftists causes and described his paper as being apolitical but infused with a progressive spirit.
