The Riots Were A Response To A Police Raid At The Stonewall Inn, A Place Where The Most Marginalized Of The Lgbtq Community Were Welcomed At A Time When Their Discrimination Was Legally Enforced. June 28th, 1970 Was The Date Of The First Gay Pride Marches In New York City In Honour Of The Stonewall Riots Which Later Evolved Into The Pride Parades That We Know Today.
