- 1. Always inspect ear plugs prior to insertion. 2. With clean hands, fold ear plugs in half – DO NOT elongate or cut. 3. Roll ear plug between palms to form a ball, and then flatten. 4. Making sure no hair is in the way, place flattened ear plug into clean, dry ear by placing in outer canal, covering the ear opening only. DO NOT push ear plugs into ear canal. Note: If the flattened ear plug is too big for the ear opening, push the edges closer to the middle of the ear plug until it forms a snug seal. 5. To remove, press up behind ear and lift edges of ear plug carefully.
